Here I've added a stripe long sleeve t-shirt to wear underneath but if you don't feel too hampered by several layers then try a plain denim shirt under a plaid shirt too; leaving it buttoned up and the flannel shirt left unbuttoned to the waist. Of course then turn up and over the denim cuffs to add interest at the wrist!
J.Crews Navy cashmere beanie has now sold out so I've shown an alternative from John Lewis, also cashmere, a snip at £37. However if you love their Signet cross body bag I would buy soon as it's proved to be very popular; just the kind of practical yet stylish bag you need for the school run.
Instead of my staple skinny jeans I've shown cords in todays outfit builder as a winter alternative. My plaid shirt is from H&M last year, see similar above left, and at £19.99, is cheaper than the Madewell Flannel shirt I've picked here, however the cotton is double brushed, which means it's cosy inside and out, something that I don't mind paying out for!
I've added the Nails Inc. 'Windsor Court' nail polish as its a deep Blueberry colour to compliment the dark blue in the shirt and navy of the beanie, and these strappy Michael Kors ankle boots with heel give an injection of glamour but are still a sensible height!
No self photos again this week, but the outfit builders are still inspired by my very own ensembles. If you read my posts regularly you'll know the taking of pics has proved tricky with the children going into school early doors while my kitchen gets a refurb. Hopefully you'll have candid, realtime pictures back by mid December, well that will be Christmas then!
