After a thrashing from storm Freya last night I'd thought I'd take a brighter look at my favourite Spring colour combination to date; Camel and Cornflower blue. Both Stella McCartney and Valentino chose this pale blue shade for SS RTW collections and it looks great with neutral camel. So put some spring in your step and update your wardrobe with some key pieces from my chosen few below.

The snow didn't arrive here today on the south coast but it continues to be a possibility according to the weather forecast. Usually about this time of year I do a post for the ski season which will be apt if we do see some of the white stuff soon. If you're tempted by a last minute winter break check out the best ski holidays for the new year from Harpers Bazaar. It seems that red, white and blue is very much a colour combination on trend this season, as you can see from the products I've picked below. If I go on the slopes I do treat myself to some snazzy base layers and I love this seamless, sweat-wicking 'Festive Star' set in a dark beetle blue from Sweaty Betty, above. The collection from Perfect Moment is also great for statement separates on and off the piste; see this Vogue article where they featured too, and Stance is my go to brand for socks that are both stylish and practical! See this Telegraph article for more of the best ski sock brands. For more affordable ski wear look to Topshop's SNO range and H&M. Click on the links to shop, keep warm and thanks for stopping by. Personally I won't be buying into this trend, it's just not me, although I can appreciate this elevated casual look from Massimo Dutti above.
