I bought a new pair of straight jeans last week from TK Maxx; yes they have a ready made extra turn up with a raw edge, that actually stay up, rather than if I'd done a D.I.Y job.

The brand is 1822 Denim, and are extremely comfy with some stretch, I've found them available at Nordstrom, if you can't find a pair at TK Maxx!

This look is from Friday, as I'm playing Blog catch up, when there was a heavy down pour. My K-Way jacket has come into it's own lately, as I can pack it away easily, and get it out when needed, but looks more stylish than a pac-a-mac! If I can't persuade you then David Beckham sporting one at Glastonbury may....yes, they do unisex styles. I love this metallic sheen sand colour and have sourced the perfect matching nail lacquer by Smith & Cult.

Also as the weather changes you may want to up the ante on your skincare regime; I've used Super Facialist products for over 4 years now and switch from the Rose and Vitamin C ranges intermittently. Use this Vitamin C + Glow Boost skin serum, under your day moisturiser, to help brighten your skin.

However if you want to brighten up your day, regardless of the weather, then this Clementine Backpack ,from my favourite bag brand Coccinelle, definitely will. It makes me smile just looking at it. Add a norm core blue poplin shirt and these Chuck Taylor All Stars, with a thicker sole, available at & Other Stories for a simple but effective wet weather outfit. Well you may not want to wear box fresh white sneakers in the rain.

My umbrella, just seen, is a Lulu Guinness London Tiny umbrella, and it's still going strong. See her latest Tiny umbrella design, Kissing lips, top left, £28.  Let's hope there's less wet weather forecast for this week, click on the links to shop and thanks for stopping by.

In this mild autumnal weather the classic loafer may be the footwear solution to your everyday dressing conundrums. The Gucci Jordaan Horsebit detailed Loafer has made this comfortable style chic once more and at £540 they are definitely an investment purchase that fashionistas have bought into.

So I didn't look like this on the school run this morning; I had such a bad headache that I dropped the kids off in the car with no make up on and ended up going back to bed for an hour! This pic was taken after  pick up when I'd managed to put my face on and was feeling more normal.

Anyway I'm debuting my new Zara sweatshirt; for those that saw my Zara AW purchases in a previous post the other tops went back, but I kept the sock boots. I was disappointed by the Swarowski detail satin heels; I loved them but they pinched slightly and I knew they wouldn't last a taxi ride, let alone a night out on the tiles!

Today I took out my old Uterque low heel ankle boots and teamed them with my Lee jeans and Coccinelle bag, both old. I'm also wearing a new shade of nail polish 'Battersea Park Gardens' which is a peachy,  nude colour which makes a change from my usual dark autumnal berry palette.

Todays outfit builder shows both a day look and an evening look with the Zara sweatshirt as the hero piece. The embellishment on the sleeves means it can elevate a basic day look but is glamorous enough for an evening event with a metallic heel and miniaudiere bag. Not that I'll be going anywhere but straight to my bed tonight for a good nights kip!
