Holiday packing

I've been lucky enough to get away recently but if you're still looking forward to a beach holiday here are some of the purchases I made before packing.

Havaianas flip flops
Uniqlo white sweatshirt
Anya Hindmarch make up bag
Guerlain bronzing powder
Next shape enhancing bikini
1) If I see a pair of Havaianans I love I'll buy them then and there. Too often I've waited until the height of summer and found they didn't have my size left. So when I saw these navy base flip flops with neon pink straps there was no hesitation!

2) I also needed a new bronzer and have been using the Guerlain Terracotta Moisturising Bronzing Powder for a couple of years. Whilst I don't go in for the full contouring make up of Kim Kardashian a simple number 3 stroke is easy to achieve with this cult powder.

3) For those that visit my posts regularly you will know that I love my grey marl sweatshirt and have wanted a simple white one since January but couldn't find the right fit. I often look at Uniqlo for cashmere and silk but they also do a great selection of sweats. So when I was last browsing on their site was delighted to see a basic white sweatshirt. I wore it on the plane and it's a great addition for holiday packing useful if it's a bit breezy by the pool or cooler in the evening.

4) I don't usually go for bikinis but I liked the retro inspired style of this Next one. It's also shape enhancing and so I'll take all the help I can get when peeling off to lie in the sun!

5) Anya Hindmarch is my favourite accessory brand and so it was my first stop when I visited Bicester village, the designer outlet centre, about a month ago. I bought a past season bright tangerine make up bag, the new season neon yellow version is shown above, and as it's the smaller one it meant I had to be refreshingly ruthless when deciding what make up to take. The bright colour also means it's easy to find amongst a sea of clothes in my luggage.

No outfit builder today but to shop the items click on the descriptive text under the inspiration board.

Here's dreaming of warmer, sunnier days.

It's the end of the Spring term for some and mums wear daily is on a break from the daily inspiration outfits.

However I'll be back next week with posts about Spring trends and my wishlist from the high street.

For now you can read my latest article 'Do you have a toxic wardrobe?' at www.talentedladiesclub.com.

Otherwise if you want a quick fashion fix then Look magazine online has a new feature which shows the latest arrivals instore from brands such as Topshop, Zara and M&S, click on this link Look Fashion Drop.

Another tip is to go onto shopstyle.co.uk if you are looking for something specific as it shows you a variety of brands. Do use the filters though to refine your search. See their editors pick for Spring must haves too.

Sheerluxe is another of my go to websites for fashion inspiration or you can visit my Wardrobe Wand facebook page for more style updates.
