Daniella Helayel for Monsoon

If you think the latest print dress offering from Monsoon looks familiar and has more than a touch of 'Issa' about it that's because their latest collaboration is with the designer, behind that infamous  'engagement dress', Daniella Helayel.

So whilst everyone is on Canada watch to see every sartorial move the Duchess of Cambridge makes, see Tatler outfit diary here, you can get your fashion fix closer to home from the designer that got the Royal seal of approval.

Rio born Daniella Helayel, founder and creative director of 'Issa' parted company from the designer label  in 2013 after the Al Fayed family became majority shareholders. For more 'Issa' shop here at The Outnet.

However this is one high street collection definitely worth checking out, especially if you are an every day 'dress' wearer. My favourites are the 'Gabriella' dress £99, left and the 'Gisele' long sleeve dress £99, in navy, top right.

My new Coccinelle Bag

I absolutely love my new AW purchase; this Coccinelle mini cross body bag. It instantly uplifts a basic casual outfit, as seen here, picking out the blue of my denim and red of my nail polish! It is tiny, I can't fit my large purse in so it's down to cards, keys and mobile but as I usually have a canvas shopper on me it hasn't been an issue.

Today I'm wearing a Uniqlo white long sleeve sweatshirt, old, but it's difficult to find a plain white sweatshirt, hence why I bought two originally and also the short sleeve version when it came out. I've swapped it out for a grey marl sweatshirt which also looks great with khaki and denim. For more khaki and denim inspiration click here for Sheerluxe Fashion.

I've teamed it with a Zara utility sleeveless jacket, old, and I've replaced it with a Shacket in todays outfit builder, which is still a style that's going strong and is really useful for this changeable weather. Otherwise if you've bought a Bomber jacket then wear that instead.

My Jeans here are the MiH crop flare in a dark denim and the Adidas Leopard Stan Smiths, that are sold out! I'm hoping they'll reproduce them but until then these are the 'best versions of' I've found from Mint Velvet.

For a similar look shop my outfit builder below by clicking on the text links and thanks for stopping by.

Wardrobe Staples : The Black coat

My useful Mango flowy trench

Trench Coat £125

Wool Trench Coat £165

Loose Alpaca Blend Coat £165
September is the perfect time to reassess your Wardrobe Staples. I'm going through a phase of wanting to look more polished but still relaxed and think a Black coat is what I'm missing.

I've been visiting & Other Stories online a lot recently for my blog posts, unfortunately they don't have a store on the South Coast, and love these three coats, especially the black trench and the styling with a loose trouser and flat sandal.

It reminds me of Victoria Beckham in recent pics, in her Celine chunky flat sandals.

I'm also veering towards more black in my wardrobe, something I tell Wardrobe Wand clients to be careful of; as it's a colour that can drain your complexion and isn't always the most flattering to more mature skin.

That said it is always used for optical slimming, especially on the lower half.

Anyway back to the coats and as my camel Mango flowy trench, shown in top pic, has been so useful I think I'll plump for a black flowy trench for a new season update.

Keep an eye out for it in upcoming posts! Click on the links to shop and thanks for stopping by.
