So it's nearly time to say farewell to the old and 'How do you do' to the new.

If you're staying in tonight, and by recent reoprts three quarters of us will be; avoiding the associated costs, transport turmoil and predictable disappointment of a much hyped, hotly anticipated 'Big night out!', then you can dabble in DIY with some great cocktail recipes, my favourites are from Jamie Oliver's Christmas Cocktail and drink recipes webpage.

So grab a 'Pimped up Prosecco' and toast the outgoing 2016 before welcoming in the New Year. Thanks to all those that stopped by over the last twelve months and I look forward to seeing you again from the 9th January for a dose of daily inspiration for school run mums.

All at & Other Stories
I'm loving the 'New in' at & Other Stories at the moment so I thought I'd put a few of my favourite items together in case you're in need of a late season update. Contemporary but with a wear forever feel these are the sort of items that I always look out for when adding to my wardrobe and pulling my outfits together.

As this retailer is not on every high street it means you won't spot everyone wearing it, even if it does mean staying in for a delivery, but with competitive price points and a range that has both the WOW and basic factor it's a store that I'll be keeping my eye on, especially come sale time!

It's Panto time

The Christmas Pantomime colour lithograph bookcover, 1890
Yesterday evening we went to see 'The Pantomine Adventures of Peter Pan' at the Pavilion Theatre in Worthing. As it was panto I wore my over the knee boots to get into the mood and a fabulous time was had by all. I must say Patrick Monahan, who played the dastardly Captain Hook, had his stand up comedic background tested with the hecklers; who averaged age six!

I also think there was a lot of ad lib and off script capers last night but it all added to the jollity of the evening and there were great performances from Amelila Lily and Lloyd Daniels who are both Ex X Factor contestants.

I wore my Massimo Dutti Ivory silk blouse over an M&S Thermal pointelle vest, before you shiver, with my Hudson grey skinny jeans. My low heel over the knee boots were from last year but they are still selling this style, see below for actual pair, which is always nice to see, as it must have been a bestseller or just a good 'basic'.

My Topshop Leopard print coat always gets a couple of compliments so you'll be pleased to know it's now   reduced from £85 to £60. I sported my Deane & White dip dye cashmere scarf but have put an oversized grey cashmere scarf on my Christmas list so am hoping for something like this travel wrap from John Lewis.

I love, love, love the J.Crew Signet bag, hence I keep featuring it; here it is in yet another guise, also reduced, as it was retailing at £178. I've chosen a shade of the Nails Inc one coat gel ,which I find so easy to use, to compliment the mauve panel in the bag too.

Hope you get to enjoy Panto this season, click on the links to shop and thanks for stopping by.
