I read somewhere that exercising together helps you stay together. Now hubby goes to the gym five days a week, religiously, on his own. Has done since I met him, will do until the day, well, he drops. However what he doesn't do, to my knowledge anyway, is stretch. So I asked him if he would join me in a Body Balance class, which is a mix of Tai Chi, Yoga and pilates knowing that it was probably the only thing I would be able to do in the gym as well as him!
The verdict? I do Pilates weekly but I struggled with some of the moves, and seem to have cricked my neck in the process of doing a 'Prayer Twist' whilst watching the instructor at the same time. Hubby and I surpressed giggles when we fell out of a pose at the same time and I was a bit smug when he couldn't reach past his knees as his hamstrings are so tight!
It was nice to do something together, without the children, in the day and sober, that was different from the normal weekend routine. There must be something in it as the hubby has asked me to book us in for next week. If I keep it up long enough I'm hoping I'll be able to wear this Free People Shake out suit, top right, or a crop top, like Rosie Huntington Whiteley. In my dreams... or maybe his! No wonder he wants to go again.
