Massimo Dutti lace up flats
Michael Michael Kors Selma leather bag
J.Crew 'Looks we Love' outfit
J.Crew's latest 'Looks We Love' wear to work edition features staples with new arrivals and gives styling ideas that you can easily recreate. I love the camel blazer, denim skirt and stripe shirt combo, so much so that I used it as a starting block for today's outfit builder.
I've replaced the jacket, try Zara for a more affordable version, with a leopard jacquard statement coat from By Malene Birger. Whilst it's definitely an investment piece it will be worth it when you wear it as an evening coat, to just add flair to a weekend ensemble as well as to work!
I also swapped out the metallic flats with a burgundy ghillie lace up shoe as burgundy accessories will instantly update your outfit for the new season. A straight dark wash denim skirt looks more professional than its button through sister, which means you don't run the risk of them popping open or ruching when sitting down for a meeting.
The stripe shirt is from the Ines de la Fressange collection at Uniqlo and it's rounded collar makes it more feminine with the contrast cuffs lending themselves to be turned up over a jacket to give interest.
A classic satchel bag from one of John Lewis's best selling bag brands, Michael Micheal Kors, completes the look.
Reiss and Massimo Dutti are both retailers renowned for their great tailoring and Winser London and The Fold are worth looking at if you want to add separates to update your existing working wardrobe. I love the Belleville top herringbone tweed from The Fold and Winser London's full circle skirt.
