Winter Neutrals

I've been looking at affordable winter coats for a Wardrobe Wand client, as there are a lot of great offers in the January sales. However I've found a lovely coat which isn't reduced but is a great shape and style, new in at H&M. It's a wool blend composition and so at £119.99 is still reasonable; the only drawback is the colour....described as a light mole it may be a shade to steer away from, as it will be hard to keep it looking  as good as new.

So with that quandary in mind todays post is inspired by Winter neutrals; soft taupes, pale blush pinks and dusty greys, which go so well together but may not be the most practical of shades. Below I've done both a casual off duty look and a work wear look to show that key pieces can work for either, keeping the cost per wear reasonable. (Note cost per wear is equal to the cost of an item divided by the number of times it is worn) 

Much as I'm tempted to buy the coat myself I'll stick to my camel and navy for this winter and fingers crossed it will be in the summer sale soon!
