White shirt, White Mischief inspired outfit

Okay she's got jodhpurs and pearls on but this white shirt and khaki trouser combo reminded me of Greta Scacchi's character, Lady Broughton, in the film White Mischief.

I must make a mental note to watch that again; I recently watched Dangerous Liaisons with some girlfriends and couldn't believe all the sexual innuendos I'd missed the first time around. Mind you when it was first released I was only 18, far too innocent!!

Anyway a cotton white shirt will keep you looking cool and collected, just like Greta in the heat of the Kenyan 'Happy Valley'.

Here I'm wearing a white cropped boxy cotton shirt from Autograph M&S, old, Zara skinny biker trousers, old but still available here, now in the sale.

Accessories are tan knotted belt, Banana Republic, old, Matt Bernson tan gladiators, old but still available here, white leather bag from TK Maxx, old with an Anya Hindmarch tassel, old, which I bought from Bicester village.

I've added the classic red nails and red lipstick to my outfit builder as it really stands out against the neutral palette of this outfit. See best shades of Summer 2016 nail polish and classic red lipstick shades to try here.

I've also added retro shades from ASOS. No pearl jewellery I'm afraid but feel free to add your own double row necklace and pearl stud earrings; a bit too much for me on the school run but very 'Lady' like!
