Up until today, when we were deluged with rain, it's been the summer of the long sleeve lace white dress. I'm not even sure what the fuss was about when the Duchess of Cambridge trotted into Ascot, but Vogue did a piece on it!
Needless to say she reinforced a trend of lacy long sleeved dresses, which Oscar de la Renta, among others, spearheaded for SS17. Quite frankly it's been something that the humble high street shopper has been crying out for ages....please just give that Summer season occasion dress some sleeves!
So now we have a few options to consider when looking for that perfect outfit for the next Ladies day, Garden party or Christening, however yet again, as the pundits exclaimed that Kate's lace number had more than a striking resemblance to her wedding dress, I urge you not to wear such a number to anyone else's nuptials apart from your own.
