The versatile shirt dress

The chambray shirt dress I'm wearing today is old from Indigo at M&S. However there are a lot of shirt dresses on the high street at the moment and chambray and denim ones are so versatile. When it's really warm you can wear a cami top underneath and a pair of suede ankle boots for a 'Coachella' feel or you can wear it open and layer it with skinny jeans as I'm doing here.

I've got on my Next white linen t-shirt, Zara soft rip black skinny jeans and a Reiss belt. As the hardware and poppers of the dress are silver coloured and Mother of pearl look I've gone for my snakeskin fringed flat sandals from Uterque to pull through the 'grey'. I got them last summer but the fringing is still on trend and the grey snakeskin give them a twist. They also pick up the silver of my watch and bangles and I often choose my footwear based on any hardware going on in my look.

My oversized Karl Lagerfeld sunnies from TK Maxx balance out the black of the jeans and although I'm not wearing it in the photo I popped my Zara scarf on as it was cooler than I expected on the school run.
