Sometimes an image I see inspires me to build an outfit builder, recreating a similar look from the high street. Todays image is from DET NYE, left, translated to 'The New'; one of Norwegians best selling women's magazines, aimed at 18-35 year olds.

Anyway I picked up a copy at Trondheim airport when we were delayed getting back from a family ski trip, as Storm Doris hit the UK. The picture, above, was credited to James Cochrane and was featured to promote their next issue, and I think it's a great look.

With the denim skirt set to become a Summer staple this season it's a new take on double denim which you can easily translate. Note the different proportions, the stripe shirt breaking up the denim and the use of contrasting denim washes.

Personally I would opt for a dark wash, button through, longer length skirt, similar to the one shown. However as the shorter distressed denim skirt is currently all over the high street I picked a River Island version for todays outfit builder. I also love the Buckled Ballet flats from Uterque. The Buckles and ankle strap give the flats an edge and they are the perfect trans seasonal shoe!
