The great white

Today I'm wearing a wardrobe staple, the great white shirt. Whatever style or fit you choose the white shirt is so versatile for both casual and work wear outfits that you should have at least one in your capsule wardrobe. Although you can't see it in this photo mine is a shorter boxy style with a hidden placket at the neck and 3/4 length sleeve. It's an Autograph M&S number that is reminiscent of a Victoria Beckham shirt she wore last September when she visited her store.

Of course you can purchase Victoria Beckhams latest offering,a gorgeous pleated poplin shirt for £720 or choose from the many variations on the high street. Here I've chosen three of the best.1. New Look at ASOS cotton mix white shirt 2. Jigsaw at John Lewis cotton blend white shirt 3. Autograph at M&S twin pockets shirt. Click on the links to view.

I'm wearing my Uniqlo grey cashmere V neck boyfriend fit jumper over my shirt with a Zara strappy flesh coloured vest underneath. I've got on my Zara stretch trousers and my over the knee flat boots from Nine West. I'm wearing my black Reiss coat and M&S wrap with my grey David and Young trilby hat from TK Maxx.
