They've been off school a week already but my two have been playing tag cough and cold so between their spiking temperatures and the unpredictable weather we've managed 2 days out and about and rather a lot of time at David Lloyd!
First it was a day with friends at Fishers Farm, West Sussex and as it was off peak it meant it was good value for money, wasn't busy so no queues and whilst some of the activities had specific time slots, as staff was skeletal, it didn't stop the fun.
We also got to see the new born chicks, twin lambs and baby goats up close but then had the dubious task of explaining why the mummy goat was eating her own after birth, facts on the Farm!
Then on Easter Saturday we headed to the Midlands for a family get together and our annual Easter egg trail at a National Trust venue which this year was the gorgeous 15th century moat house at Baddesley Clinton, above. Again we were so lucky as, with just an hour to go until it closed, it was very quiet and wasn't raining. After successfully following the clues and two chocolate bunnies later we left to head back down south and the heavens opened!
Unfortunately we didn't get time to explore the house but will definitely visit again when I'm next up.
Here I'm wearing my leopard Adidas Stan Smiths, Maje 'Gaston' parka, grey marl cashmere hoodie, James jeans, Coccinelle cross body bag, ombre cashmere scarf and John Lewis gloves all of which have been featured on my blog before.
As the Spring/Summer collections hit down I've started to compile a list of new season staples to update my wardrobe. My first purchase are these silver low block heel sandals from Calvin Klein at TK Maxx, below. I'm envisaging wearing them with white culottes and a silk vest for an easy Summer look.
My blogs, like the weather, will be intermittent over the Spring break but back to normal from the 11th April. Click on the links for more information or to shop, enjoy the holidays and thanks for stopping by.
