Hay Colour Plaid blanket no 9 £165 at Amara Living

So I'm still sharing inspirational buys from my recent Copenhagen trip and todays post focuses on interiors; and more specifically blankets for snuggling up in and getting cosy, as the Danish word Hygge, pronounced 'Hoo-ga', suggests.

It's a word that is especially apt for the darker, colder nights conjuring up images of an open fire, the glow of candlelight, good food and drink (or a Glogg or two) shared in the relaxing company of family and friends. That's what Hygge is really all about.

Above is the 'Hay' blanket I purchased at Hay House, which is a store that you just want to decamp to! Here's a review from littlescandinavian.com or visit Hayminimarket.com, for smaller household items with the same considered design aesthetic so apparent at Hay; like these office accessories to enhance my desk area, above right, which I just couldn't resist!

You don't need to go to Copenhagen to purchase the Hay brand; madeindesign.co.uk carry some of their offer as do Amara Living Ltd, who stock the plaid blanket, above. I umm and ahhed over the neon pink stripe one but loved the sky blue, grey and orange combination so plumped for this one instead.

Now I can't wait to light my candles and snuggle up in my blanket on Sunday evening....just a shame Poldark has finished! Click on the links for more information or to buy and thanks for stopping by.
