I already skive off at the weekends as this is all about the realistic style you can achieve on a week day morning in the hours between waking and waving the children into school.
So gym gear it is. I'm probably as reluctant to share this photo with you as I am actually going to the gym. However once you hit a certain age and your metabolism becomes a couch potato deciding to relax and kick back you have no other option than to move a lot more than you did in your thirties.
I go twice a week although I'd like to say three or four but I'd be counting the times I watch the children participate in clubs or utilise the play area!
Today I'm wearing my Sweaty Betty cowl neck fleece jumper which is so soft and cosy. The thumbholes mean my hands keep warm when holding a freezing cold steering wheel. Underneath I have on my pink marl Avia t-shirt and white Pure Lime sports vest, Elle Sport capri leggings with a pink insert detail and All Star trainer socks all bought in TK Maxx. New Balance trainers and Herve Chapelier 2 tone nylon bag give my look a pop of colour.
I first bought a Herve Chapelier bag when I worked at Harrods which is over 14 years ago. I loved the two tone colourways and completely wore it out refusing to give up on it even when the corners looked liked they'd been chewed and the nylon had bubbled! So last year I treated myself to a new one and found that a lot of big name department stores no longer stock them making way for the other popular French bag brand Longchamp.
Whilst I like Longchamp it will always be a Herve Chapelier bag for me!
