I plumped for the grey, obviously. Those that read this post regularly will know it's a favourite neutral of mine, and I love it!
It's a sit up bike, I'm all for a more recreational hobby than racking up any personal bests, no matter how inspirational team GB are at the moment, and aesthetically it ticks all the boxes. Leather style padded saddle which is really comfortable, topstitch handle grips, gear changer dial, which is so easy to use, and handy luggage rack.
Unfortunately my maiden voyage wasn't as chic as Katy Perrys; no sexy sheer undies on show here; but fortunately I was able to take it for a spin on the quiet private estate roads around Angmering to build up my confidence so any wonky driving on my part went unnoticed and wouldn't have caused a major incident although it did take me a few runs before I got into my stride.
Here I'm wearing a Massimo Dutti top with bell sleeves, coincidental of course, some ancient dark chambray shorts, Mi Stan Smith trainers and Sophie Anderson bag, Gucci sunglasses, all old.
The children and I have been on several jaunts together since I purchased it - note that Halfords offer a free assembly service which I took advantage of, only to discover it wouldn't fit in the Fiat! Hubby ended up riding it home....as at that point he was deemed more proficient than I on a A road!!
Happy Summer cycling and thanks for stopping by.
