Whilst I was in store I also looked for the matching funnel neck jumper as I knew it would be hard to find another knit in that oatmeal shade. The tunic shape was great too and flattering for my not so flat as an ironing board tummy area. Alas I couldn't find it but thought I'd be able to order it online when I got home.
Surprise surprise.... it was sold out online too. What can I say M&S? Here is a look that is current, wearable and not to mention comfortable, that most shapes and sizes with good underwear can wear and yet someone at buying sign off level has lacked the conviction to place quantity behind it. The result? Not only the loss of potential sales and customer dissatisfaction but I'm now left with a brown skirt that has no partner!
My mission was to find a replacement funnel neck jumper. Although I have a black turtleneck and cream cable knit jumper I could also team the skirt with I felt that the funnel neck style had just enough of the 70's vibe needed to update my other AW looks too.
So I searched the net and came across this gorgeous knit skirt set from Milly at Net-A-Porter. It quickly went to the top of my Christmas wish list, with the neon pink and grey colour combination made in my kind of clothing heaven! That was however until I found this much more affordable but no less stylish outfit from Warehouse.
I'm now considering returning my brown M&S skirt and buying the Warehouse set instead. Lets just hope they haven't sold out too!
