So the school summer holidays have started in earnest and unless your offspring are ensconced in holiday clubs all week long looking after them 24/7 over the summer takes some planning, patience and as I've discovered over the years lots of playing. I'm sure most working mums yearn for the opportunity of so much quality time together with their children and struggle to juggle the logistics of childcare over the school break.
However for stay at home 'working' mums like myself it can sometimes be a challenge when you no longer have the 10am-2pm school slot to 'work' within. I recently read how the phrase 9-5 is becoming more like 5-9 as it's the hours most women with their own business now find themselves working!
So back to what I'm wearing. As it's too warm for jeans I've opted for an easy summer skirt. This tencel number is from Gap and I love the slanted pockets and length which sits just above the knee for appropriate coverage.
I've kept it simple with a grey marl M&S vest t-shirt and accessorised with my Banana Republic knot leather belt and Massimo Dutti tan espadrilles. Nude shades from Marni finish off the look but I did add my Next linen khaki jacket when we went out for a scoot on the pier as it was a tad breezy.
