Hush Porto Striped Tunic dress £65
I'm probably not the only one that woke up with slightly sore shoulders this morning after baking in the glorious bank holiday weather; that said I thought I'd applied enough factor 30 to avoid any tell tale red lines but obviously not!

When the temperature hits these giddy heights I always ponder more about what to wear, unless of course I'm abroad. Why is it harder to dress for the heat in the UK? Maybe it's because we are on the hoof when it comes to unpredictable heatwaves which doesn't leave us enough time to do the necessary preparation or perfect the flawless fake tan. But then again maybe it's just me as I saw plenty of people on the coast not caring a hoot about disrobing.

The most stylish ensemble I saw at the beach was a lady wearing a loose, origami sleeved, cotton blue shirt, culotte style jeans and a Panama hat; think a modern day Louisa Durrell in Corfu! Over the years I have noticed that it's those that wear more in a hot spell that I think look cooler, both in terms of temperature and fashionability.

So when the latest Hush catalogue came through the post it was this Striped tunic that caught my eye, perfect for an easy, beach cover up, or should that be cover all?
