Today was the first time this Summer, yes it's still officially Summer although only just, that I donned some cashmere. This is my Uniqlo cashmere grey jumper from last year and for those who'd like to know is XL size. Whilst I'm on average a size 12 I prefer my knits more loose fitting for layering so went up a couple of sizes. Obviously buy to size if you 'd rather have a neater, form fitting look.
A more recent cashmere purchase of mine was the same jumper in off white, which I'll wear with plaid shirts, ripped jeans and ankle boots for a more casual outfit and at £69.90 you can't go wrong. Do however look out for 100% or pure cashmere when purchasing as an item that seems reasonable may be a cashmere blend!
I used to buy a lot of cashmere from TK Maxx but haven't found as much recently, although saying that I did buy a Deane and White cashmere ombre scarf a few weeks back!
At the moment they've got Johnstons of Elgin cashmere throws for £199.99, usual RRP £500. I love this green and pink tartan if you're looking for an investment purchase or check out this Paul Costelloe cashmere blend cardigan to tick off AW's colour block trend.
I still think Uniqlo has the best value for money cashmere but here are a few other brands to consider when looking out for this luxury fibre at a more affordable price. John Lewis own brand, especially the poncho, ASOS White collection, but snap up the burgundy crew neck soon as it's such a great colour, shown below, and M&S.

Back to todays outfit and underneath my grey cashmere jumper I wore my lilac/pink Sandro silk blouse, as I think mixing in pastels keeps the look softer, my MiH jeans, Miss KG leopard flats and Mango flowy trench.
