Most of us have black trousers in our wardrobe and I often see clients where they are definitely a work wear staple. However a tailored black trouser in the heat can sometimes look too severe or dated so when I saw the uber stylish Olivia Palermo rocking an all black ensemble I thought I would use her outfit as todays inspiration for my outfit builder.
Her wrap style trousers are an update on a classic tapered capri and the zip shoulder detailing on her cardigan give interest. She is also the queen of accessories and her reptile print bag, two tone sunglasses and chunky statement cuff bracelet and torque necklace keep the look both edgy and stylish, as only she can.
Whilst I couldn't find a similar cardigan I've mixed textures and textiles of the knitwear in my outfit below and although I've shown a pair of heels here you could also team it with a strappy flat like these 'Turntable' sandals, again from Nine West'.
