Today I'm wearing my Topshop Neppy jogging trousers, Hush 'Lucky' sweatshirt, a more masculine coat, my Topshop Leopard coat and black knitted Pom Pom hat from last year. I also love these looks from Pinterest, with a smarter jogger and tailored coat or jacket, both with a pop of colour to give interest.

I had to nip into my local M&S today to get some cards and was stopped in my tracks by this coat from Per Una. I haven't seen the M&S Christmas advert yet buy apparently it's the coat that Mrs Claus is wearing in it.
Well I don't think you have to wait for December to don this gem. It's a great shape and has considered design detail, relevant but not a typically 'on trend' item. The shade is both flattering and jaunty, sure to bring you some Christmas cheer well beyond the festive season. In the week that M&S communicated the inevitable closure of some stores and cut back its fashion department this is exactly the sort of item that it should focus on. The clothing arm of the business is now going to rely on the accessory offer to buoy up its revenue. The only reason I can see for that is that shoes and accessories have always been more profitable and so it may offer a quick fix in the short term. However the range that I've seen in the press looks and feels like M&S are always playing catch up as the high street stores I frequent, Zara, H&M, River Island, Uniqlo not to mention John Lewis, have a better offer available now....and you don't have to wait for Feb/March 2017 to get your mitts on it. M&S should ask Mrs Claus what she wants for Christmas and deliver that instead! Click on the link to shop and thanks for stopping by. Today I'm wearing a fairly recent purchase from Zara; this poplin relaxed fit white shirt. I realised I kept wearing my blue cotton shirt and wanted a similar version in white. The M&S Autograph white shirt I have been wearing in posts is cut quite short and as its gets chilly I usually wear a thermal of some description or other and didn't want it on show.
I love the V neck on this shirt and the 3/4 length sleeve make for an easy, simple addition to my existing wardrobe. Today I'm wearing it over my pointelle thermal strappy vest and under my grey TK Maxx Coercion sleeveless knitted waistcoat. I teamed them with James jeans with slight distressing, old, Adidas Originals Hamburg shoes and I took my Leopard print coat from Topshop on the school run, just in case. In fact I didn't need it as it was quite mild and the thermal vest did its job! For a similar look shop todays outfit builder, below, by clicking on the links and thanks for stopping by. |
