It's the 4th of July and to celebrate the United States Independence day I've picked a summer holiday outfit using my favourite U.S designers and brands.

I got my legs out today but not for long as this length of dress proved impractical for anything other than standing still.....so when I came back from the school run conceded defeat and wore my cream slim trousers underneath!
However this soft denim shift dress is an easy, versatile piece to add to your wardrobe. Mine was from Next but there are a lot of versions currently on the high street. My look here is more holiday appropriate but come Autumn you could layer a breton stripe top under it ,wear tights and ankle boots. See Pinterest denim dress outfits for more inspiration. Keeping with the holiday theme I've added a bright multi coloured cross body bag to my outfit builder, to keep the look fun. Click on the descriptive text to shop the items shown below. Thanks for stopping by. Today I'm obviously still in a Wimbledon mood and opted for an all white outfit with tan accessories. I love these wide cropped linen mix trousers from Massimo Dutti that I bought about 3 years ago, see my outfit builder for a similar pair from Hobbs. I've teamed them with my linen M&S vest that I wish they offered in more colours as I'd have bought up a few! A new purchase I'm wearing today is a Banana Republic tan knotted belt, which eliminates the hassle of fashioning your own knot. Great for cinching in over a fitted jacket or dress or just to add some interest as I've done today. Also for those that have coveted my Coccinelle round bag (now sold out I'm afraid) I found this little gem in Banana Republics sale offer-yes it's coral- but still a great cross body round bag at a fraction of the price, now £49.99.
