I love a bit of outlet retail therapy and I went with the intention of buying a dress for my sister's wedding, which is fast approaching, but instead ticked off other items on my shopping list!
First on my list was an umbrella; I used to own a 'Lips' design, Tiny umbrella but lost it on a night out for my friends fortieth!
So I was thrilled to find Lulu Guinness has an outlet store there and ended up buying two Tiny umbrellas, one in a brightly patterned 'Milan weave', originally £28 reduced to £18 and a "London Print' design in grey, reduced to £14 from £28.
Then slippers; my White Company pair had to be thrown out recently when I accidently dropped a bottle of bright red nail polish over the kitchen floor and myself!
Although The White Company outlet store had very few styles and sizes of slippers in stock I was lucky enough to find a grey pair in a medium for £10 so was chuffed. I managed to resist buying any bedlinen or candles too although my friend treated her daughter to another set of their gorgeous pyjamas!
Then we headed to Cath Kidston to replace my ironing board cover which over time has become discoloured. I bought the New Rose bloom print in blue for £10.50 down from £16. After a leisurely lunch I also ended up buying my mum a clutch bag from Kurt Geiger and a light sky blue dress from Coast which was a bargain at £49. However I didn't come away with a dress suitable for the wedding so will keep you posted!
All in all it was worth the visit and next time I'll make a beeline for Adidas, Nike and the new store opening soon, Under Armour to freshen up my workout attire. It's a shame we ran out of time as I could be sat here right now in some new gym gear!
Products mentioned are available at outlet stores only but most brands have sale offers online, so click on the links to go through to their website.
