A bit of leopard goes a long way

Leopard print is now considered a neutral in your wardrobe by many fashionistas. It goes with so much and adds pattern and texture to an otherwise 'flat' outfit. Both Kate Moss and Alexa Chung have recently been seen out and about in their leopard print jackets so these icons of British style can't both be wrong.

I'm currently looking for a leopard print jacket myself as last year I wore out, literally, my long line blazer from Next and haven't yet found a replacement. Hence why I've plumped for my Miss KG leopard ballet pumps today.

As I'm wearing a lot of black I wanted to add some interest and colour so also decided to wear my burgundy Lee coated jeans. I usually wear them on date night in lieu of any real leather trousers which I refuse to purchase. Not because I don't think they look great on some people. You only need to type in leather trouser outfits on pinterest to see some great looks, it's just not me! Also it's a big outlay for a non easy care item so I'll stick to a coated or waxed jean that are a fraction of the price!

It's a smarter look today with a double silk layer of H&M oversized black silk shirt and French Connection black Polly Plains silk vest underneath and my asymmetric Zara wool mix jacket for an outerlayer.

I'll let you know when I find and purchase the perfect leopard jacket so watch this space.
