I think the appeal of Holly Willoughby's style is that it is both accessible and achievable. Her Instagram account gives an insight into her lifestyle but mainly access to her wardrobe. Where true fashion folk err on the creative side and wear ensembles that scream 'fashionista' the majority of us want to look fashion aware, relevant but also authentic to our lifestyle and, dare I say, we need our clothes to be more practical than looks straight from the catwalk.
Today Holly Willoughby wore some paperbag belted striped shorts from Topshop and a ivory silk shirt from Winser London, with nude court heels by Gianvito Rossi. So whilst the shoes may be an investment buy at £470 the look is well within our grasp, even if her perfectly coiffed blonde long bob and honed pins are not!
I've taken her outfit as inspiration and chosen similar items for my outfit builder, below; using the key items, silk shirt and Paperbag shorts, as building blocks for both an office and an off duty summer look. For work even Holly's heels are a tad too high so I've swapped them out for leather nude backless kitten heels from Zara. Add texture and interest with this snakeskin embossed cross body bag and a large pair of sunglasses ,picking out the pink shade in the bag, complete the look.
For a casual summer outfit you may want to wear cotton or a linen shirt rather than silk. H&M have great options available for both and their sister company Arket is definitely worth a look for good quality basics including this classic straw basket. If you want an alternative to flip-flops then these braided mules from Zara are just the thing. Keep your hairstyle relaxed and off your face with a print turban headband.
