I did valiantly try on a bikini from their range last year but alas didn't offer enough coverage for either my boobs or tummy. Sometimes you've got to admit defeat to a trend and admire from afar. However I did notice Boden's all in one swimwear option on Annmarie's blog, Fashion mum of 40, if like me you prefer something a bit more substantial.
I've noticed a lot of scalloped edging across the high street this season, no doubt inspired by the craze for the gorgeous Marysia swimwear from last year. See their envy inducing shots from this season above and below. I'm not sure which I'd like most, the glorious beach holiday or the honed body to be able to carry off this look! See more Marysia inspiration on Instagram too. I did valiantly try on a bikini from their range last year but alas didn't offer enough coverage for either my boobs or tummy. Marysia on Instagram Anyway on my quest to find a wedding outfit which is both appropriate for the occasion and flatters my figure I came across this Issa knitted jacket at The Outnet. Not even sure if it will make the cut but I loved the weight and feel of it and as I always get a lot of wear out of my current white jackets decided to keep it. I've been dying to wear my silver Calvin Klein sandals, a bargain from TK Maxx, and finally got the chance on date night over the weekend when the temperatures were adequately high enough to get my toes out!
Silver has been a prominent trend for SS16 collections and footwear has been no exception, whether that be trainers, pointy flats or heeled mules. Uterque has a similar style to my block heel sandals, see below, which are great with a crop flare or culotte for easy occasion dressing. For my top picks see below and click on the links to shop. Thanks for stopping by. This morning I woke up with the hubby and discovered just how gorgeous my pink lounge looked at 5.50am! The sun was streaming through the windows, bathing everything in a sunny, warm glow. However by the time I'd gone back upstairs to grab my phone and taken a pic the effect had diminished slightly but nevertheless put me in a good mood, rare at that time of day, especially before a cup of earl grey! I thought I'd share my picture with you, below, and hope the sunny weather has put you in a good mood too, even if like me you haven't been able to relax outside in the sunshine. Today I'm wearing my Cloth & Stone tencel chambray coloured shirt, from TK Maxx, Topshop neppy joggers and an Autograph at M&S linen vest layered underneath. I wore my Chloe cats eye sunglasses, again from TK Maxx and Mi Stan Smith trainers with grey laces. I've shown a lilac nail polish in my outfit builder below as I've been wearing a similar shade for the last couple of weeks and really love it.
