It was school sports day today so I spent the best part of 4 hours cheering on my offspring, which is inevitable given their year groups. Gone are the years of the mum's race, probably considered far too competitive, and not the best example to be setting, so footwear had to be astro turf friendly as oppose to 'ready for action'.
I still went for a sporty vibe though and teamed my Uniqlo white short sleeve sweat shirt with my cropped MiH dark jeans from TK Maxx and old linen mix khaki green jacket from Next. My Coccinelle mini cross body bag meant I could easily take snaps and carry essentials at the same time and Massimo Dutti tan strap espadrilles passed the appropriate for sports day attire test!
The results? Well they were varied but as my 5 year old daughter said, reeling off the school propaganda, it's the taking part that counts.
