I'm showcasing a new purchase today after trying unsuccessfully to find a pair of trainers I love to accompany my more casual outfits. Trainers have become a more stylish, staple footwear option over the past few seasons but I personally haven't embraced the trend until now.
I thought I'd found the perfect pair to find they were mens and only available upwards from a size 6 and that's when I came across these, the Nike Internationalist. As well as the technical sales pitch of 'ventilated comfort' and 'breathable combination' of nylon and suede upper I fell for the tigerish stripe jacquard and the lower sole so they are a neater, more subtle style for skinny jeans. I'm not sure these trainers will ever get within a few yards of a treadmill so the aesthetic won over the more practical aspects. Sorry the Nike R&D department!
The rest of my outfit is made up of my H&M denim shirt, M&S grey marl sweatshirt and Zara white strappy vest. My black skinny jeans are Notify from TK Maxx, D&Y Aztec scarf again from TK Maxx and M&S black faux fur hooded parka which I bought in the January sales.
