Hats nice

I tend to not over think what I'm wearing on a daily basis. Unless I'm doing a Wardrobe Wand appointment, when I like to plan an outfit the night before, I decide what I'm wearing in the morning. I have some tried and tested combinations that I fall back on again and again as you can see from the blog archives.

Today I wanted to wear a pop of colour as most of my wardrobe consists of various neutrals. So I'm wearing my fuchsia pink Wishbone silk shirt from John Lewis. Personally I prefer a fuchsia and navy colour combination as oppose to fuchsia and black because I find it looks a tad harsh so I'm wearing it with my Uniqlo navy cashmere V neck jumper.

Looking at this photo I can see that my HPI of Sweden cream hat and the cream trim of my tan Barbarin Uggs help to break up the dark colour palette so it isn't too sombre and this is where accessories and footwear can be key to the overall look of any outfit.

Ever since I started wearing my fur pom pom beanie I've had a lot compliments but mostly people wanting to stroke it. I'm not surprised HPI is a swedish brand as on my recent trip to Are,northern Sweden, conditions reached -22 degrees! Whilst it might not plummet to those temperatures here on the South coast my hat keeps me cosy when there's a snow flurry!

It's amazing what just a hint of fuchsia
Does to the outfit. It's a good idea, not too much colour but makes the outfit look more stylish. When I wear a bright scarf people comment how lovely it is. I try to make sure it brightens my face and doesn't make me look pale though.
