Welcome back to mumsweardaily! So my posts were few and far between over the Summer holidays which meant I was quite rusty this morning putting this outfit builder together.

The children were actually excited to go back to school which made the early morning wake up a lot easier. I think the new school dinner option and resurfacing of the playground were hotly anticipated; let's hope their enthusiasm hasn't waned when I pick them up later!

So the drizzly, muggy weather saw me donning a bright silk pattern shirt, Olivia Palermo for Chelsea 28, old, black faded Lee raw edge hem jeans, Zara trench coat, old and I pulled out my Adidas Originals Hamburg sneakers, which I haven't had to wear since the children broke up.

I was sandal ready however with a bright coral red,OPI 'Red lights ahead...where?' polish. One of my holiday top tips is to book a pedicure on the last day of your hols, as the sand and sea will harden your heels and the colour will probably be chipped, also the children will be occupied with activities or a kids club so you can disappear for an uninterrupted hour or so. (I don't do Shellac as I find it all a bit high maintenance, and my nail beds were so dry after attempting a failed home removal once!)

Nothing new to see here then, however I did have a new term haircut; a few inches chopped off and a few highlights to brighten around the face. Back to todays outfit builder then; taking inspiration from my own patterned silk shirt I've chosen a more Autumnal colour palette, paisley print, straight fit silk shirt from & Other Stories.

Zara are still doing variations on my structured trench with this new darker camel coloured short trench and as it's back to school day I had to choose these aptly named 'Campus' shoe from Adidas Originals but if I wanted a work wear ensemble I would wear a V shaped ankle strap pump, like these again from & Other Stories.

I love Coccinelle and they currently have their sale on which makes this cute mini leather backpack even more of an attractive investment buy and if you want an update on a classic then these knot hoop earrings from Massimo Dutti tick the box.

Now I'm back in the swing of things expect regular posts over this Autumn term and if you like todays look then just click on the links to shop and thanks, as always, for stopping by.
