I hope you had a relaxing weekend and enjoyed some sunshine. Here's what I wore to the children's school Summer Fair on Saturday and it's fast becoming one of my go to outfits this season, for an off duty, easy ensemble!

Gap soft blue Bomber jacket, from the outlet store, H&M stripe jersey top, see reverse stripe version in todays outfit builder below, Ralph Lauren Cargo trousers, old, see similar left, Adidas originals Hamburg shoes, & Other Stories have Adidas Campus in a light grey which are similar here, Chloe nude sunglasses, from TK Maxx, old and white leather shopper, again from TK Maxx, old.

Denim & Supply by Ralph Lauren Cargo trousers £100 at ASOS, left.

As it gets warmer you may want to swap out the heavier cargo trouser for a paper bag chino, the on trend trouser style of the season. See my pick below from Topshop.

Although I love the slides and flat backless mules that are everywhere at the moment I do find them less practical than a strappy sandal, especially if you're walking any distance at a pace. So my footwear choice are these raw edge Leather sandals which I think are great value at £55; they remind me of the Matt Bernson KM Gladiator sandal.

I've accessorised todays outfit with a Zara Paper straw bag with pom poms, for interest and to 'lighten' the overall look and these Jil Sander sunglasses, available now at TK Maxx.

As I've been wearing my Benefit Dew the Hoola liquid bronzer again, I've shown the newer addition to the range, the Hoola Quickie contour stick, anything that speeds up my make-up routine is a bonus!

So it's muggy, and wet, sandals are a no go, so what do you wear on a day like today? If in doubt throw a flowy mac over an all black ensemble.

Today I've chosen to wear drawstring tailored black trousers, S Oliver, from TK Maxx and H&M jersey top to keep cool, my Adidas Hamburg shoes and Mango flowy mac, both old. To keep it seasonally appropriate I've added my white leather shopper, old again from TK Maxx, accessorised with an Anya Hindmarch tassel, which pulls through the white and beige of shoes and coat nicely!

For a new season update consider this Gingham lined Mac from Zara and although not Leather this Mango purse shopper bag is ideal for Spring, and everything you end up carrying! Click on the links to shop and thanks for stopping by.

Working it out together!

There's something I've been asking my hubby to do for a while now; well apart from some regrouting in the bathroom, buying some matching Louis Vuitton luggage for my birthday, putting the washing away in the right place.....there are some requests I know he'll never be able to deliver on; but this Sunday he managed to do something I've been badgering him about for ages!

I read somewhere that exercising together helps you stay together. Now hubby goes to the gym five days a week, religiously, on his own. Has done since I met him, will do until the day, well, he drops. However what he doesn't do, to my knowledge anyway, is stretch. So I asked him if he would join me in a Body Balance class, which is a mix of Tai Chi, Yoga and pilates knowing that it was probably the only thing I would be able to do in the gym as well as him!

The verdict? I do Pilates weekly but I struggled with some of the moves, and seem to have cricked my neck in the process of doing a 'Prayer Twist' whilst watching the instructor at the same time. Hubby and I surpressed giggles when we fell out of a pose at the same time and I was a bit smug when he couldn't reach past his knees as his hamstrings are so tight!

It was nice to do something together, without the children, in the day and sober, that was different from the normal weekend routine. There must be something in it as the hubby has asked me to book us in for next week. If I keep it up long enough I'm hoping I'll be able to wear this Free People Shake out suit, top right, or a crop top, like Rosie Huntington Whiteley. In my dreams... or maybe his! No wonder he wants to go again.

Until then see my outfit builder below, for a more basic 'Body Balance' gym outfit, with the gorgeous Gaiam Sundial Yoga mat, see more at Athlete Shop, now also on my wish list. Click on the links to shop and thanks for stopping by.
