Celebrity Street Style: Diane Kruger
Picture
Whose your celebrity style crush? It's a question I ask when I'm doing a client's Wardrobe Wand and the answer gives more away than you first think.

If someone says Diane Kruger then they possess a more individual innate style; bolder, playful and essentially more relaxed and confident in their sartorial choices so it never looks forced.

This off duty image captures her signature styling perfectly; which isn't always evident when she's preened for the Red Carpet. Take inspiration from her weekend outfit and throw a pastel hooded sweatshirt under your tailored coat.

H&M have both a Powder Pink and deeper Pink hooded sweatshirt available in stores and online now, but no Bubblegum pink option like Diane's!

My own style is slightly more conservative which is reflected in todays outfit builder, using the same style H&M hooded sweatshirt in black.

As always the outfit builder takes a cue from the outfit I'm actually wearing today; Beach Lunch Lounge Flannel shirt, Grey marl M&S sweatshirt, Ralph Lauren Cargo pants, Leopard Stan Smiths and Uniqlo Light down Coat with my new Zara Cashmere oversize scarf, which I'm really pleased with.

What ever your personal style I hope you can glean some inspiration from reading my posts. If you want to shop the look below just click on the links and thanks for stopping by.

Cold snap outfit

When it's nippy I prefer pulling on a pair of cosy joggers in the morning. I've tried to elevate this casual wardrobe item by teaming it with cashmere, leather and a bit of Leopard print for good measure.

These are still the Topshop Neppy jogger but I've shown some alternative H&M ones in todays outfit builder. I'm also wearing my new Uniqlo Heattech thermal t-shirt, underneath my Iris & Ink ribbed cashmere jumper; which I'd shown so many times that I actually bought it in the sale.

The scarf is my fine cashmere M&S oversize scarf which is no longer available but Zara have just launched a Special Edition range of large cashmere scarves and hats, which is also in the outfit builder below.

Reiss collarless leather jacket, old, Adidas Leopard Stan Smiths, old and KYI KYI pom pom hat, old make up the rest of todays 'Cold snap' outfit. The Tan shearling gloves are from Dents, old, but I can't find anything similar available now, as most stores run down their cold weather options.

Also I've shown a pair of Rose Rankin Trainers after admiring a pair a very stylish friend of mine had bought. See more of the collection here or follow her on Instagram.

I usually show a Reiss Leather jacket option as I think the quality is excellent. All Saints is another retail renowned for their leather items but today I'm showing a John Lewis Biker Leather jacket, as at £199 I think it's great value for money. I haven't done a touch and feel test in store so can't guarantee the quality of leather but I do trust the John Lewis brand, so fingers crossed.

Do you know your Flute from your Bishop sleeve, are you swapping your cold shoulder for slashed detailing, do you prefer a Deep Bardot or a high Funnel neck? Whilst we're still reaching for our January jumpers the trends in knitwear have been slowly evolving with micro trends emerging from the new season knits.

See my lowdown on the 8 knit trends to know below.

1) The Batwing: As the eighties heavily influence the high street the batwing sleeve has been emerging as the 'It' sleeve.

3) Deep Bardot: It was a popular neckline from the Summer and now it's making knitwear sexy, look out for this off both shoulders feature, also known as a Bandeau neckline.

7) The wider high neck: The turtle neck moves on; this wider high neck is more forgiving to those of us that don't have a swan like feature.
