1/2 term number crunch-bottoms

It's half term and my week day outfit inspiration will start again next Monday. In the meantime I thought I'd take a look back over the outfits I have worn since this blogs launch on the 7th of January and do a bit of number crunching.

I've posted on 28 days so equivalent to 4 weeks worth of outfits and I haven't yet repeated a total look, although of course I've worn elements again and again. Today I'll look at my bottoms which I'm sure for most would include some skirt options.

As you may know my 'uniform' mainly consists of a skinny jean. No surprises then that I have worn five different pairs of skinny jeans with my dark blue Lee Scarlett jean being the clear winner. I know I've waxed lyrical before about finding the right fit jean for you and to spend as much as you can afford on specialist denim brands.

However my favourite brands over the years, which include 2 pregnancies, have been James, 7 for all mankind, Hudson and Lee. All of which I must add I've bought from TK Maxx. Topshop also do a great jean selection so if you haven't yet found your perfect pair keep persevering!

So for AW bottoms I would say my essential mumswear must haves would be a dark blue jean, a dark cargo pant, a black jean and/or a black stretch trouser like my Zara pair. Obviously if you are a skirt person ignore the above. I promise to include more dresses and skirts in future posts as long as you don't expect me to be wearing them. I have to be true to my personal style.

Tomorrow I'll look at knitwear.....so get ready for a lot of grey cashmere!
